With only 10 rooms, this hotel offers guests a “like home” atmosphere, where all of the details have been well thought through. Hosts, John and Lynn, along with their family, go out of their way to help you feel welcome and comfortable. ->Check Current Prices<-
A full cooked-to-order Irish breakfast is made available to hotel guests, locals, and passer-bys. Unlike many hotels, which have an early cut-off for breakfast, the Rathbaun Hotel serves breakfast until noon. Unfortunately, we had to check out early and were not able to enjoy the breakfast. We did, however, eat at the restaurant the night before and very much enjoyed our hearty selections!
The hotel bar offers nightly live Irish music in the months of June, July, and August.
We felt fortunate to have our visit fall during this time in order to be able to experience wonderful traditional Irish music during our time on the Emerald Isle. Ceolan played for 4 hours straight!
A word of caution- the band plays until midnight and can be heard from various rooms in the hotel, so if you want to go to sleep before midnight during the summer months, you may want to request a room on the opposite end of the hotel. We were in Room 21 right above the stage and the music could be heard very clearly through the floor at 11:30 pm when we retreated back to our room. Not a bother to us, we really enjoyed the music!
We’d like to thank Rathbaun Hotel for their partnership, as they provided us with a discounted stay so we could share our experiences with you. As always, our write-ups are an accurate reflection of the experiences we had.
