Following an afternoon of snowmobiling in Winter Park, we wanted to check out Wine Down Wednesdays at Heck’s in Tabernash. Heck’s is located at Devils Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa at the foot of the Continental Divide.
Just a short drive off of the 40 in Tabernash, the ranch encompasses 6,000 acres.
Sunset at Devils Thumb Ranch
We arrived at Heck’s just before sunset and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect!
A fire was roaring and the sun was setting on the surrounding mountains. It was the perfect way to end yet another great day in Grand County!
As if the beautiful scenery, wonderful wine, and roaring fire weren’t enough… the staff at Devil’s Thumb brought out the essentials for making s’mores!
The sun set and the temperature dropped, but the fire and the wine kept us warm!
Although we visited Heck’s primarily for the wine and the beautiful surrounding landscape, the interior of the restaurant was cozy and inviting! We wish we had more time to spend there!
